Valentine weekend has come and gone, and if you failed to give your significant other a special gift on that day, now’s your chance to make up for it by getting him or her a TUMI travel accessory. Or, if you’re a single woman who had to endure the mushiness of the weekend, why not treat your fabulous self to a TUMI luggage you can bring with you as you go on your solo trip this summer? I wouldn’t mind receiving or getting myself one of these babies soon—I saw the entire Hawaiian-inspired Spring/Summer 2015 collection of the American travel accessory brand for myself during the preview at the Nobu Hotel Pool Deck of the newly opened City of Dreams Manila. I found a few faves that I will share with you in the photo gallery below, so you can do your own virtual shopping, note your faves, and hit the stores to get exactly what you want!

TUMI’s S/S 2015 collection is a mix of pieces in vibrant colors juxtaposed with items done in neutral tones. Here’s an overview of the collection, followed by a gallery that will give you a peek at my favorite items. You’ll notice that my picks mostly come in either blue or black—my two preferred colors for travel bags, as they’re classic and not dumihin, knowing the abuse bags get in transit. But, I’m sure you’ll find more items you like better, depending on your travel style, when you hit the TUMI stores in any of these locations: Greenbelt 5, Bonifacio High Street Central, Ayala Center Cebu, select The Travel Club stores and Rustan’s Department stores, and in Ladybag Ayala Center Cebu.

Core Collections: Alpha and Alpha Bravo

Inspired by Hawaii’s volcanic beaches, TUMI’s signature ballistic fabric is reworked with an interesting selection of colors like Atlantic Blue and Charcoal. The notable addition to the classic Alpha 2 collection is the Short Trip Expandable 4-Wheel Packing Case. You’ll find modern, unstructured day bags in the Alpha Bravo collection that you can pack with travel essentials and fit underneath the seat of an airplane.

Travel Collections: Tegra-Lite and Tegra-Lite Max

T-Graphite and Charcoal are the solid colors that highlight the Tegra-Lite and Tegra-Lite Max Travel Collections. Their combination of Tegris with a PP center layer results in improved strength, performance, and impact resistance—characteristics your choice of luggage must have.

Dalston Collection

This collection’s contemporary silhouettes showcase a mix of the brand’s signature ballistic nylon combined with leather suede, creating fun statement travel bags.

Mission Collection

I like how this collection is inspired by one of my favourite cities, San Francisco’s storied Mission District. Casual yet sleek, it uses natural grain leather.

Women’s Business Collections: Larkin and Sinclair

I love both women’s lines of TUMI’s S/S 2015 collection, which are both great for travel and work. The Larkin collection is made of its iconic ballistic nylon material and comes in classic colors such as black and grey/Atlantic. Meanwhile, the Sinclair collection can take you from the airport to the boardroom as they come in pretty colors and stylish shapes that pair well with your travel and office wardrobe, with little details that make work and globe-trotting a bit easier. I particularly like their pieces in baby blue (Horizon).

Voyageur Collection

TUMI redesigned their classic Voyageur collection, giving it a feminine update that make it another one of my faves. The pieces have jewelry-inspired metallic zippers and hardware that are meant to create an elegant statement—I particularly like the gold accents on the black pieces, something my boyfriend is particularly fond of, too. They even added more interior and exterior functionalities, including an Add-a-Bag sleeve, while retaining the same lightweight and durable nylon fabrication.

Seasonal Prints

For the Maui Wave collection, TUMI makes use of bold pops of color like Aquamarine, Classic Blue, and Scuba Blue, as inspired by Waikiki, Honolulu’s most popular beach. The pieces look fun and relaxed, while combining both style and functions. Key items from the Core Collection are updated in this fresh print, which includes the Alpha Bravo Cannon Backpack and Tegra-Lite International Carry-On.
