I love this shampoo and conditioner! If, like me, you get your hair treated regularly and if you suffer from really bad hair fall, try this.

These days, everyone’s going organic–be it in food, beauty, heck, even fashion. And, to address the clamor for more organic stuff, believed to be healthier and better for you, cancer survivor Bettina Osmeña and Bing Bing Quiros founded Organic Basket, which brings to the fore the benefits of the nourishing and healing wonder plant Aloe Vera, which include natural healing benefits and anti-inflammatory properties–it’s once preferred for soothing and repairing sunburned skin or dry hair.

I have tried their Aloe Derma Hair Shampoo and Hair Conditioner, and I also have  the Hair Tonic (although I have yet to open my bottle of the latter). Aside from being great hair products, the Aloe Derma Hair Care line also promotes environmental friendly lifestyle by using natural ingredients and organic farming methods.

Aloe vera’s natural amino acid is akin to the natural keratin proteins in the hair. Aloe Derma’s three-step hair care system presents a detoxifying, moisturizing, and repairing formula minus the harmful sulfates found in most shampoos.

The Aloe Derma Hair Shampoo thoroughly cleanses the hair and the scalp, while moisturizing it from the roots. Even on days when I wouldn’t use the conditioner, my hair stayed soft and shiny. I love its subtle clean scent, too. (It’s one of those good aloe vera shampoos that managed to take out the funny smell associated with aloe completely.)

Meanwhile, the Aloe Derma Hair Conditioner extends the care further by boosting the natural Aloe amino acids that deeply nourishes hair. It makes my hair extra soft, smooth, and shiny, and what I like about it is how easy it is to rinse! I find it really such a hassle when other conditioners take a long time to rinse, but luckily, not this one! In fact, you can even leave it on–yup, no need to rinse it after you apply it on cleansed hair. It’s that light and non-sticky (or greasy).

I have yet to try the Aloe Derma Hair Tonic, but it’s supposed to keep your hair shiny, and they said you can even use it as a light natural hair gel. I met Filipino musician and entrepreneur RJ Jacinto at the launch, and he said he swears by this product. “I noticed that my hair stopped falling. In my business, I always have to look young. I feel my hair is starting to get thicker.” Hey, I have major hair fall issues, too, so I definitely need to try this, stat.

Unlike other herbal and natural shampoos, the Aloe Derma Hair care line is paraben-free. Its cleaning and foaming agent is Ammonium Laureth Sulfonate, which is three times more soluble in water, leaving no residue on hair (no wonder it’s not icky). The Aloe Derma Hair care line also has a high concentration of aloe juice, unlike other products that claim aloe vera as a main ingredient but actually only use 1% of reconstituted aloe vera.

What’s more Aloe Derma’s hair care line is actually very affordable. The Aloe Derma Shampoo and Conditioner come in a 210ml bottle at P225 each, while the Hair Tonic comes in a 110ml bottle at P215.

Organic Basket’s Aloe Derma Hair Care line is exclusively sold at Watson’s branches. For more inquiries or to order, contact 888-ALOE(2563) or info@aloecurephilippines.com.
