We can’t go wrong with jeans. The classic fashion staple, the great equalizer—designer jeans or department store find, jeans are jeans, and if you get the right size and fit, they will always look good on you, or at the very least serve their purpose of being one of the most comfortable clothing items you’ll ever own. But, we wouldn’t say no to denims that actually enhance our shape and are designed to look practically tailored, right?

I always like buying jeans from Uniqlo because not only do they come at a steal when on sale, they’re also super comfy, soft, and durable. But just when you thought their denim line can’t get any better than this, it does: Uniqlo unveiled four new innovative and reinvented jeans this month.

The new jeans mix aesthetic quality with advanced clothing technology to give us our best pair yet—their newest and most advanced. The four new styles are now all available nationwide. Read on for details about each.

1. Ultra Stretch Jeans: Comfortable and stretchable

The super skinny fit denim with a simple and unobstructed design uses an outstanding stretch material with over 50% stretch rate and has oversized rear pockets that create a minimizing effect at the back. The bottom opening of the Ultra Stretch Jeans is also wider, giving enough room for the ankle.

2. Smart Shape Jeans: Beautifies and enhances

This advanced version of the regular fit straight jeans is made with a one-of-a-kind fabric that helps beautify and shape the mid-section for a slim and attractive waistline. The jeans also used special materials for the pockets and zipper that aim to make the belly flat. This is the pair that I got, and while it’s looser than the skinny jeans I usually wear, I like the fit and how it flatters my legs and bum. It definitely makes me look like I have a smaller waist.

3. Miracle Air Skinny Fit Jeans: Soft and light

Does your guy want to experiment with skinny jeans? He may want to try this, as it’s incredibly soft and about 20% lighter than any regular jeans. This particular style is very flexible and has a two-way stretch functionality. It also features various hues and a more subtle texture in washed-finish and ultra-slim silhouette. UNIQLO used a special yarn developed by Toray and Kaihara’s advanced technology for this.

4. Stretch Selvedge Slim Fit Jeans: Traditional Selvedge

This pair for your guy is made of high quality Kaihara denim materials that ensure comfort even with a tight and slim fit. Its button, rivet, and stitches match the color of the jeans, making it easy to pair with any casual or dressy top.
