As I mentioned in this post, when I have an event to attend, I try to wear something from the brand that invited me, so when Avon Fashions invited me to its grand Intimate Apparel show for Fall/Winter 2015 dubbed Fantasie (watch for my separate feature on this soon), I decided to use Avon accessories, makeup, and even scent all week—and stash them in my red Avon Kate Tote from an old Avon Fashions collection.

What I love about it is just how roomy it is! I can pretty much put everything in it, from more makeup essentials than just retouch basics to an umbrella, water bottle, and even a shoe bag for my flats—or heels, when I need to give my feet a break in between events.

It’s made of light synthetic leather and fabric, with woven design on one side, so it can hold all the things I stuff in it, yet it doesn’t get as heavy as my other totes because the bag itself is so light.

I like its bright red color, too, compelling me to pair it with my red stilettos to events that call for it, just like the Avon fashion show, of course! I even matched it with the latest set of Avon Fashions Jewelry, the Ruffa Collection, inspired by their returning ambassador Ruffa Gutierrez (learn more about this on the blog soon). I have so many Avon stuff, so it’s fun to mix and match old collections with new ones—even the makeup, too! I think the idea worked: My friends from Avon recognized the pieces and were thrilled to see me wear them!
