Just to put it out there, I have two phones: a Samsung Galaxy S4 and an iPhone 6. I know the merits of each brand of smartphones, and that’s why I opted to have one from each. Apparently, one of the purposes of this dual edge screen is, even when facedown, you can see on the edge when someone is calling or texting—and you can even color code up to five contacts, so you’ll know when it’s them. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge glam launch

The smartphones were launched in a sartorial event called S Carpet: Art & Fashion last April 17, 2015 at the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Mega Mall featuring fashion & art collaborations.

World-renowned Filipino glass sculptor Ramon Orlina created an exclusive collection of six finely-crafted glass sculptures inspired by the world’s first curved dual-edge screen on the Galaxy S6 Edge—each one corresponding to the five colors of the Galaxy S6 line: Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Green Emerald, Blue Topaz, and White Pearl (click each photo below for a closer look). Meanwhile, leading industry jeweler Marilou Co of Marilou Jewellery created the world’s most precious Galaxy S6 case adorned with 60 brilliant diamonds set beautifully on a luxurious bed of 18k yellow and white gold, modelled by the brand’s latest celebrity ambassadors: Solenn Heussaff and Georgina Wilson.
