You can create pretty makeup looks inspired by fireworks using the latest collection of this popular Japanese makeup brand.
Happy Chinese New Year! If you failed to do so at the start of 2015, why not use this occasion as an excuse to update your makeup stash?

A good place to look is in Shu Uemura stores, as the Japanese makeup brand recently unveiled their Spring/Summer 2015 collection that’s sure to give you a brighter, more brilliant outlook—and look, for that matter—for the New Lunar Year. Inspired by the Hanabi, the Japanese festival of fireworks that decorates the Tokyo night sky, the collection’s combines metals and blooming flowers in its hues, finish, and design, and succinctly called it Metallic Bouquet. You can definitely create fireworks-inspired makeup looks with these!

The collection is now available in Manila. Start visually and mentally shopping for the three items you will add to your makeup kit, as you scroll through the rest of the article before you hit Shu Uemura shops. Everything is just so pretty!

1. Metal: ink Liquid Eyeliner
The Metal:ink Liquid Eyeliner is the star product of Shu Uemura’s latest collection. These liners come in ten metallic shades you can choose from: black, brown, navy, purple, red, blue, pink, green, silver, and gold. Watch for my review of this product tomorrow!

2. Metallic Trio Eyeshadow
Shu’s eyeshadow palettes for Spring/Summer 2015 are variations of metallic trios that come in multi-pressed pans, providing shades for all three essential eye makeup components—the base, highlight, and accent areas. They come in four variants: Copper Dahlia, Platinum Plumeria, Silver Viola, and White Gold Daisy.

3. Limited Edition Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks
Shu also released five new shades of their signature Rouge Lipsticks. The Metallic Bouquet collection includes Iris Mauve, Comet Pink, Poppy Orange, Marigolds Shimmer, and Sakura Shimmer. Watch for my separate review of this lipstick soon!

Dare to wear: Metallic Bouquet False Eyelashes
Shu’s false eyelashes for their Spring/Summer 2015 collection feature a cross-lash design with Swarovski crystals and a metallic band decoration on both the front and back sides. Think you can pull it off? Give it a try for a truly special occasion!

To showcase the many glamorous things you can do with the latest collection, particularly Metal:ink, Shu Uemura collaborated with some of the country’s popular fashion designers on a fashion show to launch the collection in Manila. Eric delos Santos, Milka Quin, and Sassa Jimenez showcased their designs that matched Metal:ink-inspired looks created by Shu Uemura makeup artists Angie Cruz, EJ Malorca, Riza de Guzman, Cats del Rosario, Claire Diokno, Hanna Pechon, John Pagaduan, Omar Ermita, and Patrick Alcober.
