Preview the collection of new Starbucks Cards and mugs available starting today, in time for the 120th Independence Day.

The two things I always get from Starbucks that are neither coffee nor food are their BIG mugs (for drinking more coffee) and Starbucks Cards (for purchasing these items). So when I heard that Starbucks Philippines released its Island Series Collection, featuring the colors and symbols of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, in time for the 120th Independence Day, I knew I had to have them ALL.

It would be exciting to collect all three sets because not only are they exclusive in the Philippines, each design is only available in the respective island it depicts. So if you happen to be spending this June 12 holiday in a different PH island group from where you live, you better grab the mug and Starbucks Card available there before they run out fast—as these special collections normally do. Here’s everything else you need to know about each:

16oz Island Series Luzon Mug (P995) and Starbucks Card

LUZON

My home, Manila, is of course part of Luzon, so this is the first thing I want: so that I can proclaim my love of Luzon while I now live in Visayas, hehe. The ceramic mug’s outer and flood color is matte vibrant blue that I find elegant and stylish. Plus, it features a glossy decal with gold foil highlighting the night scenes of the business districts of Luzon. The Starbucks wordmark logo is laser engraved on the side of the mug. Meanwhile, the Starbucks Card is so chic! I really love the colors: shades of blue, purple, and gold. Both the mug and the card are exclusively available in Luzon stores and select airport stores.

VISAYAS

16oz Island Series Visayas Mug (P995) and Starbucks Card

The easiest one to get in my case is the Visayas mug since I’m now based in Iloilo—and we have two (going on three soon) Starbucks branches here, yay! The ceramic mug with outer and flood color in matte yellow ochre features a debossed artwork of Sampaguita flowers and coconut palm tree leaves in gold foil to represent the beaches Visayas is known for—from Boracay to Cebu, Guimaras to Iloilo’s own Isla de Gigantes! To complement the debossed artwork, the Starbucks wordmark logo is laser engraved on the mug. I love how both the mug and card are so feminine. Both the mug and the card are exclusively available in Visayas stores and select airport stores.

MINDANAO

16oz Island Series Mindanao Mug (P995) and Starbucks Card

The Mindanao mug is making me want to return to Davao ASAP! The Ceramic mug’s outer and flood color is a lovely red Bordeaux and it features a glossy decal of the iconic Vinta boat with a sail in various colors that represent the colorful culture and history of Mindanao. This mug is my favorite of the three. Both the mug and the card are exclusively available in Mindanao stores and select airport stores.

All three mugs come in a collector box packaging. Meanwhile, each Starbucks Card in the Island Series is available for an initial activation amount of P500 per card.

So, wherever you are today, grab that mug and plan trips to the two other main islands to collect all three!

TIP: The mug and card make awesome Father’s Day gifts!
