Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico shows us how to make the most out of data plans with the amusing new Globe Data Drills data usage education series.
Whether I’m watching TV, browsing my Facebook or Instagram feed, or just reading online articles, I would always find photos, videos, or news items on Solenn Heussaff and her husband Nico Bolzico.
Some of the paintings in Solenn’s exhibit were reportedly inspired by her visit to Biri Island in Northern Samar for Globe’s Scenezoned Season 2
Actress, singer, TV host, online influencer, artist, Globe Postpaid ambassador—the list goes on for the multihyphenate Solenn, whom I spotted recently at the opening of her second solo exhibit, ‘Kalsada.’ The exhibit features her paintings that depict everyday local street scenes in such vivid color, along with apparel embroidered with her colorful designs—her collaboration with fashion and accessories designer Mia Arcenas-Branellec and Vanessa Heussaff called Lahi.
“Kalsada is a collaboration between me and my 3-year-old nephew Kaeden. The subjects are based on people I’ve seen on the streets, but even if their surroundings and expressions are quite sad, the paintings are still so colorful. It was Kaeden who used so much color, and it kind of makes you understand how children naturally see things through the lens of positivity. And that’s why I did this with him—so our people’s stories can be brought to life in a much brighter light,” Solenn explains.
“And so through Kalsada, I wish for people to experience the streets the way a child would—running in and out of alleys, hearing the calls of the taho vendor, laughing to our kapitbahay’s stories, gazing at the sky, and always dreaming of a better tomorrow…even as we live in this beautiful mess we call home,” she continues.
I love Solenn’s use of color in her paintings
The exhibit is located at Provenance at the second floor of Shangri-La at the Fort, and is now open to the public until November 5, 2017. A portion of the sales from the exhibit will go to the Kalipay Negrense Foundation, a non-profit foundation that supports disadvantaged children.
Solenn and Nico at the opening of her second solo exhibit
I attended the opening of Solenn’s exhibit last Thursday, October 19, and it was graced by her high profile friends and of course her husband, Nico Bolzico, who arrived in a Lahi denim jacket. I learned from Globe Telecom that this power couple actually star in Globe Data Drills, the latest video series showing how easy it is to make the most out of your mobile data plan.
Do you find yourself having excess data from your monthly plan? Or needing more for your usual mobile binging? Would you just want to find out which mobile data plan is perfect for you? Catch Data Drills, a multi-part video series that will tackle the most common concerns on data usage, including finding the right data plan, what to do with leftover data with Data Rollover, or how to get additional data allocation with AddSURF—all fueled by the charm and humor of the #Sosbolz couple. Enjoy their funny antics while you understand your data needs better and learn how to make the most of it.
