Want to get the Samsung J1 free on a really affordable postpaid plan with 1.5GB of data monthly? Read on.
When I started blogging full-time this year, one of the first things I needed to get for myself was a good postpaid plan that offers great data coverage and good internet connection—since I’ll be out and about most of the time, I need to be able to do my work on my phone. And since my work entails being able to access and post on all my social media accounts, browse Google and various websites, and be in touch with contacts 24/7 anywhere I am via messaging apps, I worried that my data plan would cost me an arm and a leg.
It was perfect timing that around that time, Globe Telecom launched its myLifestyle Plans that allowed me to pick bundles or packs that give me unlimited access to the apps I need for my work and lifestyle at a fixed amount each month. The beauty of it is I can customize my plan according to my needs each month—I have since tweaked the bundles included in my own myLifestyle plan several times.
Say, on months when I was just in the city working and attending several events, I made sure I had the Chat Bundle (for access to Viber, Facebook Messenger, KakaoTalk, Line, WeChat, and WhatsApp), Photo Bundle (for access to Instagram, InstaSize, Photo Grid, and Photo Repost), and standalone access to Facebook and Twitter. On particular months when I went on a lot of trips, I added the Navigation Bundle (with Google Maps, GrabTaxi, MMDA, and Waze). I sometimes reallocate amounts to something else, like more texts and calls to other networks (hay, sana kasi Globe na lang lahat, hehe). I also plan to add international services around the holidays when I need to keep in touch with relatives abroad, or maybe add roaming services when I finally go abroad.
Lenovo A5000 is free on the limited edition Plan 599.
If you don’t have your own myLifestyle plan yet, now is actually the best time to get one, as their new postpaid promo plan offers bigger data allowance so you can surf longer, as well as free content so you get more value for your money. Globe unveiled its limited edition myLifestyle Plan 499 and 599, their latest and most affordable plans equipped with the Surf More data service. The line-only Plan 499 comes with 3GB of data, while Plan 599 has 1.5GB of data with a free Samsung J1 or Lenovo A5000. Both plans come with an additional 1GB of data to use Spotify Premium or HOOQ free for three months.
All myLifestyle plans come with unlimited calls and texts to Globe and TM, 1GB of Globe Cloud Storage for 24 months, and access to a richer digital lifestyle with a choice of either a Navigation, Explore, or Fitness pack. The Explore pack helps when you travel as it includes Agoda, Cebu Pacific, Looloo, Philippine Airlines, Trip Advisor, and Zomato. The Fitness pack, meanwhile, lets you keep fit with the help of myFitness Pal, Strava, and RunKeeper.
You can further boost your plan by adding more packs, as I did, for calling, texting, and surfing, such as Surf Packs for your mobile internet needs from GoSURF99 for 100MB of mobile internet to as much as 15GB monthly with GoSURF2499; Lifestyle Packs, which include Music (Spotify), Productivity (Work Bundle for access to Evernote, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Globe Cloud), Life (Navigation Bundle, Explore Bundle, and Shopping Bundle for access to Amazon, AyosDito, eBay, OLX, and Zalora), and Social (Chat Bundle, Photo Bundle, access to Viber or Facebook Messenger, and standalone access to Facebook or Twitter); and Classic Packs to get extra calls and texts to other networks, as well as landline and international services.
