The best summer news just landed on my inbox: Starbucks Philippines’ Grande Wednesday is back, this time with fun and refreshing Frappuccino flavors to cool us down in this increasingly unbearable heat! Every Wednesday this May, ONLY from 3PM to 6PM, we can try new Frappuccino flavors we may not have tried before for just P100 for a Grande. And thank God it’s available nationwide, so I can enjoy this promo even in Iloilo!

Before summer hit, I’ve already settled into my new regular Starbucks drink: Iced Caffe Latte with two packs of brown sugar. However, it just hasn’t been enough to cool me down in this super hot weather, so I decided to go back to drinking Frappuccino Blended Beverages. And I’m so excited to do so every Wednesday this month, as this gives me the chance to try new Frappuccino flavors!

I totally missed the first one, Matcha Hazelnut Frappuccino, that was offered last May 2, but on May 9, we all have the chance to try the Almond Jelly Cream Frappuccino. Promising to be a light and refreshing drink, it’s made of aromatic almond syrup blended with milk poured over coffee jelly cubes, finished with whipped cream for just the right amount of creaminess.

Next week, on May 16, I can’t wait to order the Strawberry Cupcake Cream Frappuccino, made of Frappuccino chips dense with chocolate and coffee taste blended into Vanilla Frappuccino, then mixed with sweet-tangy strawberry sauce for a pretty pink indulgence! Toppings of whipped cream and strawberry sauce are sure to make this an Instagram-ready drink.

But the drink I’m most excited to enjoy will be featured on May 23, Butterbeer Frappuccino, which is perfect for caramel lovers—and Harry Potter fans—like me! This delectable concoction will have Caramel and Toffee Nut syrup blended into Coffee Frappuccino, with buttery-sweet caramel drizzle on top, contrasting beautifully with the vanilla notes of regular whipped cream.

The grand finale for May 30 that’s also making my mouth water just reading about it is Candymint Frappuccino. Starbucks’ classic Mocha Frappuccino with extra chocolate flavor will be infused with cool mint syrup to complement the intense coffee notes of this drink. Chocolate drizzle over regular whipped cream will lend more chocolatey goodness to this beverage. After all, you can never go wrong with chocolate, mint, and coffee.
