My kind of food fair is one where I can sample wine and even buy cheap but good cocktails. Haha! The repeat of Philippine Harvest At Central Square this weekend, August 20-21, is exactly that: You can sample local wines and other liquor, and you can even buy P120 cocktails made of your favorite Destileria Limtuaco spirits like Paradise Mango Rum, as well as Manille Calamansi and Dalandan Liqueur (besides bottles of these, of course)!
I was at the official opening of the food fair last night, where I did just that: exploring the many local spirits made from tropical fruits, honey, and rice, and hanging out by the Destileria Limtuaco booth, which was my hands-down favorite, haha. Check out some of the items you’ll find at the fair when you click through the gallery below.
The first run of the food fair was held last May. Both legs of the agri-food fair are brought about by the partnership between the Department of Agriculture and SSI Group, Inc. that aims to celebrate and promote the richness of Philippine agriculture through a wide range of exhibitors who will present and sell their agricultural food products at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street.

Besides the spirits, the weekend agri-food fair also highlights the Philippines’ organic, heirloom, and other indigenous rice and grain varieties, as well as other artisanal, natural, and indigenous products that are native to our country. Here you can appreciate, buy, and bring home all the wonderful food and beverage finds you probably didn’t even know we have. Look for the piaya and goat milk pastillas that everyone was raving about last night.
Coco Sugar is my favorite kind of sweetener.
The fair is located at the lower and upper ground floors of Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central and will be open to the public during mall hours: 11AM-10PM (Sunday-Thursday) and 11AM-11PM (Friday-Saturday). Central Square is located at 5th Avenue cor. 30th St., BGC, Taguig.
