There’s no denying that summer’s here because we can’t walk one block without breaking out in sweat and even the air-conditioning in malls and restaurants sometimes just won’t do to alleviate the heat and humidity from outside. Well, there are new treats from Jollibee that would cool you from the inside, as well as a savory treat to counter the sweetness: Royal Float, Halo-Halo Sundae, and Wasabi Fries.

I got to try all three yesterday, and I’ll be sharing with you below what to expect from each.

Jollibee Halo-Halo Sundae

Every Pinoy’s favorite fast-food brand would naturally create its version of a classic Filipino dessert in time for summer. The Halo-Halo Sundae is a delicious twist to the all-time Pinoy favorite. Jollibee’s signature creamy vanilla soft-serve ice cream is livened up by a medley of your favorite colorful and flavorful halo-halo toppings—minatamis na langka, red and green nata de coco, macapuno, and red beans—drizzled with ube coating.

My husband is a huge fan of halo-halo in general, so I can’t wait to make him try this. Jollibee didn’t scrimp on the ingredients, so this is legit halo-halo! The only thing missing for me is leche flan. But with vanilla soft-serve instead of your basic milk and ice base, it’s actually on a whole different level! Soshal, haha! It’s Pinoy summer in a cup for only P39.*

Jollibee Royal Float

The all-new Royal Float, on the other hand, is a sweet and tangy citrus delight with every sip. It’s a refreshing combination of orange-flavored soda base with creamy vanilla soft-serve ice cream that just hits the spot, especially on warm days. The combo totally works—it’s about time they made a Royal Float! I still remember how I used to put Royal in my Jollibee sundae when I was a little kid, haha.

A combination of cool, refreshing, fruity, and creamy, Royal Float is the beverage to enjoy this summer for only P35 (solo) or P25 (Go Royal Float with Value Meal).*

Jollibee Wasabi Fries

And to counter the sweetness from the dessert and the drink, you must order Jollibee’s new exciting flavor of Jolly Crispy Fries: Wasabi. The wasabi kick works on the texture of the crispy fries—I can’t even take wasabi with my Japanese food, but I definitely enjoyed the savory wasabi flavor on this one! It’s premium-tasting fries, if I say so myself. It’s bursting with flavor—you can actually see it in how much flavor powder is dusted on the fries and at the bottom of the package!

With a delicious zing that daring adventure-seekers love, the Jollibee Wasabi Fries are great for sharing with friends (if you can only take so much of the powerful taste of wasabi) or enjoying all on your own. It comes in three sizes: regular (P40), large (P65), and jumbo (P80).*

I’m glad that Jollibee always innovates with these new flavors and experiments with different ways to capture the distinct yet somewhat fickle Filipino palate. All three new items are not only perfect complements to delicious, satisfying meals, but also great treats to indulge in on their own.

Jollibee Royal Float, Halo-Halo Sundae, and Wasabi Fries are now available in all Jollibee stores nationwide for dine-in, take-out, delivery, and drive-thru transactions.
