Just like that, the heat is on and we’re all scrambling to book our beach trips and work for that beach bod. And what better way to kick off Summer 2017 than with an awesome music festival headlined by international music acts like The Temper Trap and The Ting Tings? I blogged about it here.
Presented by Globe Telecom, Wanderland Music & Arts Festival is happening this Saturday, March 4, so I spent the weekend looking for awesome outfit inspirations for every type of music fan who will attend the festival. I zeroed in on the Spring/Summer 2017 collection of Uniqlo because of the many styles they cater to. Let this be the first of my many lookbooks for Summer 2017!
Uniqlo’s 2017 Spring/Summer collection is composed of timeless LifeWear pieces that will cover every aspect of life and almost every style. Stock up on these pieces for summer, and pick out your Wanderland Music Fest #OOTD right here.
For the fashion-forward festival-goer
It’s a lot of fun dressing for summer in general, but millennials tend to take it up a notch during music festivals like Wanderland—without looking like they made an effort to do so. Uniqlo U’s basics that look anything but basic are perfect for this look. Their pieces are sophisticated and simple, made better.
Another collection that stylish festival-goers and summer chicks might like are those from Uniqlo’s seventh collaboration with French fashion icon Ines de La Fressange, which takes its inspiration from the French port city of Marseilles. The new lineup showcases a remixing of styles that combine gradations of her signature indigo with on-trend berry accents for a look that is at once reminiscent of sunshine and sea breeze, as you will see in the carousel below.
For the festival-going 30-something Tita
Uniqlo-Ines de La Fressange
As a 30-something tita who still likes to go to music festivals, of course I need to pick out #OOTDs that are perfect for my age group. I found several pieces from the Ines de La Fressange collection, too, that would do the trick, as you will see below.
Uniqlo also has a Work Smart collection that can take you from work to music festivals to summer trips. Made to be mixed and matched, these comfortable, accessible, and polished pieces are versatile and low-maintenance, so we titas look stylishly age-appropriate.
They are effortless and easy to care for, made with fabrics such as drape and rayon that are both wrinkle-resistant and machine washable, so even if you join the bagets on the grass field during Wanderland, you still look polished when you jump up once The Temper Trap goes on.
For the comfy chick
UT Magic For All
But then again, a lot of us would be happy with just a t-shirt when watching a concert. You can take your style up a notch with UT or Uniqlo T-shirts, a celebration of culture, designed from carefully selected pop art from around the world. With a variety of designs to choose from, UTs can easily be paired and styled with other Uniqlo items, especially Uniqlo Denim.
Magic For All, a special global collaborative project with Disney on its second year, is part of the UT collection. It combines the fantasy, magic, and adventure of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar with LifeWear. The collection features Mickey Stands, with designs showing Mickey Mouse striking iconic poses, and the Mickey Blue (Indigo collection), inspired by West Coast culture and Japanese indigo dyeing. The lineup also features content from the past 40 years of Star Wars, and will expand with new offerings, including characters from the new Cars 3 movie and Spider-Man motifs.
For the sporty spice
Still, a lot of us fitness-loving ladies are most comfortable in workout clothes we can wear anytime, anywhere, even to music festivals and beach trips. Ever heard of athleisure? You’ll find them in Uniqlo SPORT, which incorporates sportswear features into everyday apparel to make clothing functional and fashionable. Click through the slideshow below to see what I mean.
