As someone who went to an all-girls Catholic school with strict rules dictating how we should wear our uniform and prohibiting us from painting our nails, wearing makeup and hair accessories that are not white or black, and coloring our hair, I vowed to do all of these after graduating from high school. And I did, except color my hair. I used to be afraid to color my hair because I might damage it and it will be very hard to maintain. (Special shampoo for colored hair? Retouch every three months? Too time consuming and costly!)

I eventually relented, and I haven’t looked back since. I usually just color my locks a lighter shade of brown so it’s not too far from my natural hair color, but there were times when I experimented with red, burgundy, mahogany, and ash, and loved the results: Each color changed my look, my style, even complemented my skin tone differently and beautifully.

But yes, colored hair really takes effort to maintain; you need products to keep hair from drying and the color from fading too fast. Good thing there’s one place we can go for all our colored hair maintenance needs—from retouching to hair care. Watsons, your favorite one-stop-shop for all things beauty, offers a wide array of hair coloring products in a variety of hues as well as color care treatments and styling products. Here are just some of the colored hair must-haves you can find in Watsons (click on the first thumbnail to launch the gallery).

To showcase the power of hair transformations, and celebrate beauty, fashion, and self expression, Watsons even held a grand Hair Affair on June 27, 2015, at The Block, SM North Edsa, which featured the season’s trendiest hair colors and hairstyles. They also tapped four style influencers who each sported a chic new ‘do and shared how a change in hair color can indeed change your life: vlogger/blogger/MTV VJ Aryanna Epperson, beauty columnist Kim Reyes-Palanca, and beauty bloggers Jackie Go and Helga Webber.
