Because I’ve been blessed with thick brows, I was late in the eyebrow makeup game. I thought at first that having thick, well-groomed brows were enough, but when all the amazing brow products started coming in, I saw the value in filling in my brows and shaping them. Now, I can relate to women who say that “makalimutan na ang lahat, ‘wag lang ang kilay,” and those who admit they feel naked when they don’t have eyebrow makeup on.
The brand a lot of us brow fanatics swear by? K-Palette, and I really can’t get enough of their 2Way Eyebrow Liquid. But just when you thought you have everything you need from K-Palette, here it is again introducing a new brow product: K-Palette 1Day Tattoo Lasting Eyebrow Tint (P895). It may be quite an investment for some, but note that a tube will last you around six months of use (versus the 2Way Eyebrow Liquid, which lasts me around two to three months).
This is great for people who want to shorten their makeup routine—because, admit it, it takes a. lot. of. time. to perfect those arches—and those who already have too sparse brow hair to begin with. It’s available in Light Brown, Natural Brown, and Mocha Brown shades to match a wide variety of hair colors and skin tones.
How to use:
1. Apply a generous amount of the product on clean brows. Make sure to remove any makeup, oil, and residue on your brows using tissue before you apply the tint. Follow a stencil if you’re a newbie user.
Note: Don’t forget to do a patch test first to see if you’re allergic to the product! You don’t want rashes on your brow area.
2. Wipe with wet tissue or cotton buds any changes to the brow shape before the tint dries.
3. Leave it on for two hours. Don’t worry, it dries up in five minutes, but it’s highly recommended you leave it for at least two hours so it will last. To get even better results, leave it on overnight—needless to say, do this before bed so you don’t have to worry about painting on your brows the next day.
4. Peel it off from the inner corner of your brows. It can be removed effortlessly, but in case some tint residue gets stuck on your brows, remove it with warm water.
Results:
With one use, the color will last from one day up to a week, depending on how long you left it on and how well the tint adhered to your brows. Avoid applying friction on your brow area so as not to speed up fading. And when the color does begin to fade, touch it up with your regular brow products.
In four to seven days, the color will become softer and lighter, and your brows will eventually return to their original state. The product only stains the outer layer of the skin and it naturally comes off as the skin regenerates. Still, you saved so much time by not having to paint on your eyebrows daily, and you avoided the pain—and expense—of the current brow trend called microblading (you can never make me try it).
Personally, though, while I can totally understand the need for the product, I still prefer my 2Way Eyebrow Liquid because I find it easier to control. I’m also not fond of peeling things off my eyebrows (even if the product is easy to remove, I still get paranoid that I’d pull out brow hair). But, as they say, to each her own, and I know a lot of people who swear by this product already—and friends of mine who would love to try this.
